Holman grew up in Jay, Maine, a small mill town in western Maine. He was raised with diverse religious teachings and was instilled with tough love and small-town values from an early age. His father was a blue-collar mill worker, and his mother a high school dropout who worked in the local shoe shop and later at the nearby school’s cafeteria. She battled breast cancer and lost her fight at the age of 43.
As a young man, Holman moved to Pensacola, Florida for college then moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, for ten years before returning to Maine in 2004. He settled in Portland, Maine. In his free time, he enjoys practicing Martial Arts, which he has studied for over twenty years, provides food for the homeless, and giving back to educators, first responders and healthcare workers as these career workers are close to his heart.
